about

Sometimes you just have to stop and think about what’s really happening and how it’s impacting people. Who’s benefiting? Is everyone covered?

lyrics

Gonna Change America©

They’ve taken my money
Taken your gold
Taken my cards
Now they’re digging my hole

It’s times like these
That are going to change me
Change me, Change me

We’ve got to find a better way
To find a better end
Change me, Change me

They’ve taken our health
Taken our soul
Taken our dreams
That they already own
Trust me, trust me

The ripples from our life
Still kill our children
Change me, Change me

Who says time has no consequence
Look at me
Who says time leaves no evidence
We’ll just see
Change me, Change me

Two parties are one
Once they’ve begun
The strong take the weak
Until the weak have won

When politics and human rights get bent
Change me, change me
When mo’ money chooses, where you get sent
Change me, change me

It takes more than one to make things happen
It takes more than one to make things happen
It takes more than one to make things happen
Trust me, trust me
Read my lips, baby, and trust me
They’ve taken my money
Taken your gold
Taken my cards
Now they’re dig’n my hole

They’ve taken our health
Taken our soul
Taken our dreams
That they already own
Trust me, trust me
Two parties are one
Once they’ve begun
The strong take the weak
Until the weak have succumbed

We want to change America
We want to change this country
We want to change America
I want to change me
They’re gonna change me
They’re gonna change me
They’re gonna change me
They’re gonna change me

I want to change me
I want to change me
I want to change America
Change you and change me

It’s times like these
That are going to change me
Change me, change me

We’ve got to find a better way
To find a better end
So change me, change me

The ripples from our lives
Still kill our children
Change me, change me

Who says time has no consequence
Look at me
Who says time leaves no evidence
We’ll just see
Change me, change me
Two parties are one
Once they’ve begun
The strong take the weak
Until the weak have succumbed/won

When politics and human rights get bent
Change me, Change me
When mo’ money chooses, where you get sent
Change me, Change me

It takes more than one to make things happen
It takes more than one to make things happen
It takes more than one to make things happen
Trust me
